New story line..........
Linked to an interesting site one night about a year ago about this rose society and it sounded like the old tales of the haunted Pennhurst Hospital that I read creepy stories about years ago when it closed up in the 80's.
Made up a few scary campfire stories about the place over the last summer.........and have been tossing around a few ideas...........
And tonight the creative juices started to pull together the story line.....

Plus the shoe tree.........EEEK! Not the greatest pic from our camp trip, but the story is priceless!
Sitting around the campfire with my little girl swapping scary tales she told me a story that her dad had told her way back when we were together...camping years before. As the story goes from my seven year old:
There once was a rancher who had a great ranch. But times became hard and the bank came to take his land away. He lost everything and went totally insane. He knew that it had to be a plot against him by all of his arch enemies in the nearby town. Anyone who wandered near his land vanished! Mostly the little kids. Then one day he vanished too. All that remained outside of his ranch was a large old tree covered in the shoes of all of those who vanished over the years. The tree is still there and kids still vanish if they come near the property....but their shoes remain in the tree......
As we headed home from our camp trip we drove by a large ranch and LO & BEHOLD guess what was across the street??? Yes!!! A shoe tree! I had to stop and take a quick pic. A QUICK PIC. Why? Because the little one who told the story the evening before was scared beyond belief! So here it is...........
No kidding.
