Ah! What a wonderful way to bring in the New Year....With the love of my life...My best friend....My sweetheart.....
We toasted and hugged at midnight.....and wished each other so much love and joy....
Then we snuggled and ate an ungodly amount of potatoe chips..talked of our favorite parts of the last year and what we hoped for in the new year....
She said that she hoped for the most awesome SpongeBob birthday party on Sunday and that all of her bestest buddies would be there.
Well that sweet little girl got her wish for the new year a couple of days later. With that making her year start out just right....It made mine as well.
It makes my smile neverending to know that my daughter is happy....She was really happy when her daddy showed up to the party as well....first time in years. She was so happy to be surrounded by her friends - dining on pizza, chips, my spongebob cake creation, and drinking soda (not a regular in this household - ick!). Playing pool, beating pinatas, singing, playing games...Oh to be 7 again!
She is blessed....And she is my blessing. I made her a video to let her know how much I love her...She hugged me as she watched and had tears rolling down her cheek....she kissed my forehead and hugged me...."Mommy, you think I am special and I love you for that." She has quite a soul! Had to FB the video - just because she is such a doll, of course - knew her grandpa would like to see it since he is already down south...
We karaoked on her new karaoke machine all evening....(She has the voice of an angel....and I have to say that it is a good way to boost her reading skills!)
I think she has this one that came with the Karaoke machine down by heart after she had me singing it so many times tonight....Kids...What an inspiration:
